Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: August 12, 2026 · 简体中文版

1. Agreement and service

These Terms govern your use of the Glyphfold macOS application, its account and download services, and the icon artwork made available through them (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service or downloading an icon, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and protect access to your verified email and devices. Unless a separate team plan says otherwise, each entitlement is a single-user seat for one natural person. That person may use Glyphfold for personal or business purposes on devices they own or control, subject to the device limit shown in the Service. Coworkers and contractors need their own seats and may not share one account.

3. Free and Pro access

Free access includes the icon packs marked Free. Pro access includes the icon packs marked Pro and may be granted by a one-time, non-recurring purchase, a valid invitation code, or another entitlement explicitly issued by Glyphfold. Pro is not a subscription unless the checkout clearly states otherwise before purchase.

4. Payments

For the direct-download edition, Paddle is the authorized reseller and processes payment, tax, receipts, withdrawals, and refunds under the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy. Glyphfold does not store payment-card data. Mac App Store purchases, refunds, and family or volume usage are governed by the applicable Apple Media Services terms. Mandatory consumer rights in your territory always apply.

5. Ownership

Glyphfold and its licensors retain all copyright and other intellectual-property rights in the application, icon artwork, documentation, and Service. A purchase or download gives you a limited license; it does not transfer ownership of the artwork or copyright. Your folder names, files, and other content remain yours, and Glyphfold does not need to inspect their contents to apply an icon.

6. Icon artwork license

Subject to these Terms and your valid entitlement, Glyphfold grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

A client may receive a flattened screenshot, video, PDF, or other completed deliverable, but not a reusable icon file or a package from which the icon can be extracted. Unless an asset clearly displays additional terms before download, this standard license applies without an attribution requirement.

7. Prohibited redistribution and uses

You may not, whether for free or for payment:

Editing, recoloring, converting, cropping, or combining an icon does not remove these restrictions. If you are unsure whether a distribution method is allowed, obtain written permission before distributing it.

8. Application license and store editions

The direct-download application is licensed, not sold, to you for use on devices you own or control. You may not redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, or circumvent the application except where applicable law expressly permits it. For the Mac App Store edition, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the application license; these Terms separately govern Glyphfold accounts, services, and icon artwork. If the two conflict, the Apple agreement controls only for the application license obtained through Apple.

9. Third-party and asset-specific rights

Some artwork may be created by or licensed from third parties. Glyphfold remains responsible for granting the standard license above. Additional asset-specific terms apply only when they are clearly shown to you before download; those terms control for that asset to the extent of a conflict. Third-party product names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are not licensed as part of an icon.

10. Refunds, suspension, and termination

If a Pro purchase is refunded, reversed, revoked, or found fraudulent, the related Pro entitlement and license end, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. You must stop new use and delete standalone Pro icon files and backups; completed flattened deliverables created while the license was valid do not need to be recalled.

Glyphfold may temporarily restrict downloads to investigate security abuse and may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, fraud, unlawful activity, or a credible infringement risk. Where reasonably possible, Glyphfold will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a curable breach. When a license ends, provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, restrictions on redistribution, disclaimers, and liability limits—continue to apply.

11. Updates and availability

A one-time purchase is not a promise that every future icon, feature, platform version, or online service will remain available forever. Glyphfold may add, update, replace, or remove content for legal, security, technical, or product reasons. Material changes to these Terms will be posted with a new effective date and, when required by law, additional notice or consent. Changes will not retroactively remove a license validly granted for artwork already downloaded, except as required by law or to address infringement, fraud, or security abuse.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Glyphfold is not responsible for loss caused by unsupported system modifications, third-party services, or use outside the documentation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights. To the extent permitted by law, Glyphfold’s aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected Glyphfold product.

13. General terms

You may not transfer these Terms or your license without Glyphfold’s written consent. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are governed by applicable law, and nothing here deprives consumers of the mandatory protections or forums available in their country of residence.

14. Contact and provider details

General support is available through the Glyphfold Support Center. The operator’s legal name, postal address, and dedicated legal-support email must still be added before public commercial launch. Until then, this page is a product-compliance draft and must not be represented as lawyer-approved final terms.
